We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Production Floor Leader to join our manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for delivering the production plan, managing a team of operatives, and maintaining high standards in quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Production Floor Leader, you will oversee day-to-day operations on the production floor. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that your team meets production targets while following all safety and quality procedures. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating with other departments, and managing equipment and processes to ensure smooth production flow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of Production Operatives across shifts, ensuring tasks are clearly delegated and completed on time
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards
  • Monitor production performance and support operatives to meet daily KPIs
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues as needed, escalating where appropriate
  • Prepare workstations and ensure correct setup in line with standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse, Quality, and Project teams to ensure materials, support, and standards are aligned with production needs
  • Provide training and coaching to operatives on setup procedures and best practices
  • Identify and recommend improvements to processes, equipment, and safety measures
  • Take ownership of food quality and safety during shift operations
  • Act as the first point of contact for production floor issues
  • Support the implementation of new procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the Production or Operations Manager
