Description Villa St. Francis is a division of Catholic Community Health. Catholic Community Health (Hospice, Homecare, Villa St. Francis) is a ministry sponsored by the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. We adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services. The floor/maintenance tech will be full time and work approximately 20 hours per week on floors and 20 hours a week on maintenance projects. Please see job duties below. Qualifications: · Knowledge of floor care cleaning techniques · Ability to use floor care equipment correctly and safely · Attention to detail and organization · Strong communication and customer service orientation · Ability to work independently and as a part of a team · Experience with Durable Medical Equipment repairs preferred Responsibilities: The duties of this job include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and buffing the floor surfaces. Responsible for all facility floors, both carpet and hard surface. Experienced floor tech preferred but will train. · Ensure all Rooms are ready for move in prior to admission and or room moves. · Coordinate with Director or Facilities supervisor on all internal and external room moves. · Ensure all rooms are ready for move ins. Duties to include but not limited to wall repair, painting, Carpet Cleaning, touch up painting. · Coordinating and inventory of resident belongings as it pertains to the room move · Assist with taking out trash and providing cleanup in common areas · Assist maintenance with projects. · Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures. Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed. · Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, painting, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures. · Follow all established fire safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service. · Maintain general plant and facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. · Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies etc., are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks, end of the workday, etc. Schedule: Shift will be 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Occasional late nights as pertains to stripping and waxing floors in common areas. Working Conditions · Works in all areas of the building. · Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. · Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during working hours. · Communicates with the maintenance personnel and other department personnel. · Works beyond normal duty hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary. · Must be required to lift, push, pull and move equipment supplies etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds throughout the workday. Salary: $16.00 - $20.00/h EOE, including veterans and disabled
