Company Description We’re looking for a people loving, all-seeing Floor Manager at The Hoxton, Edinburgh to lead the team and make sure our front of house F&B operation runs smooth and smiles stay wide. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the seamless running of our F&B operations by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and guest needs are anticipated. We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings. What you’ll do… Create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests come to wind down and enjoy themselves. Ensure the F&B operations area are health & safety compliant for each shift. Run the daily briefing’s for the restaurant & bar teams. Support meeting & event operations from social events to big bash weddings. Coordinate and run the reservations system. Support the commercial goals of the business. Draft floor plan based on covers. Support with F&B stock; ordering and stock counts. Support with training for the F&B team. Scheduling and rotas for team members, ensuring staff levels are maintained appropriately. Cash handling and daily reporting of revenues as per hotel SOP’s. Responsible for the service on the floor and bar. Responsible for the safe opening and closing of the restaurant. Work with the culinary team on menus, service and product availability.
