Position Summary The Floor Manager is responsible for leading daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, coaching and developing staff, and maintaining service standards throughout every shift. This role serves as the primary hospitality leader on the floor, setting the tone for both guests and team members through professionalism, communication, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves teaching and coaching, and takes pride in creating memorable dining experiences. Requirements Responsibilities Guest Experience Lead by example in providing exceptional hospitality. Ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and appreciated. Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently. Build relationships with regular guests and foster community within the restaurant. Maintain visibility on the floor throughout service. Team Leadership Coach, mentor, and develop front-of-house staff. Conduct ongoing performance coaching and feedback. Assist with onboarding and training new team members. Hold team members accountable to service standards and expectations. Foster a positive, respectful, and professional workplace culture. Service Standards Ensure adherence to Good Neighbor's Steps of Service. Monitor table maintenance, pacing, and overall dining room flow. Support servers, bartenders, hosts, runners, and support staff during service. Reinforce standards related to cleanliness, preparedness, communication, and hospitality. Maintain consistent execution of service expectations. Operations Manage daily floor operations and shift execution. Assist with labor management and shift staffing. Ensure opening, shift change, and closing procedures are completed. Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization. Monitor service quality and operational efficiency throughout the shift. Food & Beverage Knowledge Develop and maintain strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails. Support staff education and menu training. Assist team members with pairings, recommendations, and guest interactions. Promote thoughtful upselling and guest-guided sales. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and hospitality operations. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to remain calm and organized in a high-volume environment. Proven ability to coach and develop employees. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
