THE OPPORTUNITY

Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio’s cuisine manifesto is hinged on sustainable seafood, while sourcing local and international ingredients, and draws inspiration from its Pacific Northwest surroundings. Understanding the city’s dining evolution has inspired Ancora to create a menu that accommodates all of its diners’ culinary desires, combining flavours and techniques which embrace several diverse cultures in a modern, yet approachable setting.
We are looking for a Floor Manager to help lead the team at our Ambleside location. The ideal person will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service, many years of experience in a Restaurant Manager position and a deep knowledge of wine and cocktails.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious self-starter who will look at the business as if it’s their own and will proactively contribute on all levels. They will feel confident in all areas of the restaurant from FOH - of course - overseeing the floor to ensure the restaurant maximizes each guest’s experience from beginning to end.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a restaurant management position
  • Strong wine knowledge with a min of WSET 2

  • Work with other managers to help orient, and train new employee’s
  • Coach staff members when an area is identified that needs improvement
