Floor Nurse (LPN/RN) – Hickory Treatment Centers at Terre Haute Department: Nursing  Direct Report To: Director of Nursing  Job Type: PRN   About the Role:   * The Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse (LPN/RN) will be responsible for the healthcare of female and/or male clients suffering from addictions and behavioral health issues.  * Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will perform comprehensive physical health assessments on all intakes and formulate a plan of care that includes physician orders, medications, education, and treatments.   Why Hickory Recovery?  Hickory Recovery is setting the benchmark in mental health care, especially for those facing acute challenges or dealing with co-occurring disorders. It’s Hickory’s primary goal to offer expert treatment for all we serve.     What We Offer:   * 401k * Dental insurance  * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * PTO * Vision insurance * Career development * Mental health days * Holiday pay   Job Qualifications:   * Valid LPN or RN completed from an accredited school of Nursing. * Prior experience as an LPN or RN preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience * Certified BLS provider obtained within 1 month prior to hire. * Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. * Ability to work as a member of a team. * Professional appearance, aptitude, and attitude * Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills * Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills * Computer literacy and ability to use an EMR. * Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies * Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills * Ability to understand the requirements of the clientele.   Key Responsibilities:   * Utilizes "Read Back" when taking verbal orders * Conducts narcotics count and maintains emergency drug kit * Assessing, responding and documenting Suicide Risks * Documents client education * Evaluates clients on an on-going basis to ensure medical needs are met * Follows admission and discharge procedures * Performs CIWA and COWS appropriately * Understands administration of high-risk medications * Performs Nursing Assessment on admission * Performs point of care urinalysis and pregnancy screens * Administers two-step Tuberculin PPD test * Performs glucose monitoring * Receives medications from pharmacy and stores appropriately * Documents medication administration * Uses two identifiers when administering medications * Follows workplace injury procedures * Performs intake assessments * Participates in performance improvement activities * Maintains a current nursing license * Reports safety hazards to supervisor and or Executive Director * Reports medication errors or "near misses" to Director of Nursing * Performs appropriate hand hygiene throughout the shift * Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately * Performs pain assessment and knowledgeable about pain management * Performs COVID-19 testing  Pay- $29.00- $40.00
