The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a reliable and proactive full-time Floor Porter. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order on the guest floors, delivering clean linen, and promptly attending to guest requests.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time for your shift, dressed in accordance with the hotel’s dress code and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all guest and staff areas on your assigned floor, including emptying trays and waste bins, vacuuming carpets, and wiping ice machines, signage, and house phones.
  • Keep linen rooms and trolley cupboards neat and tidy.
  • Assist with the delivery and removal of bed cots and other equipment as needed.
  • Regularly remove soiled linen and rubbish from corridors throughout the day, ensuring corridors remain clear and safe.
  • Vacuum all corridors, paying particular attention to carpet edges.
  • Deliver clean linen promptly to the designated floors.
  • Conduct end-of-day checks to ensure all work areas are free of linen and rubbish.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to all guest enquiries.
  • Immediately hand in any lost property found on the floors.
  • Inform your Housekeeper if you need to leave your floor for any reason other than scheduled breaks.
  • Keep your key card on your person at all times; report any loss immediately to the office. The key card must be returned to the Housekeeping Office at the end of your shift. Loss or removal of the key card from the premises may result in disciplinary action.
  • Attend all required training sessions.
  • Be fully familiar with the hotel’s Fire and Emergency procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times.
  • Follow all reasonable instructions issued by management.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act and all related policies.
