About MG Chemicals
MG Chemicals is seeking a Floor QC Inspector to join our quality assurance team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining high production standards. The successful candidate will support production by inspecting products, approving production setups, and ensuring that all final goods meet company and industry quality requirements.
You’ll work closely with the production team to monitor processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Approve production setups and clean-up processes, ensuring calibration checks and material verification are completed
  • Perform in-line and final inspections of products, ensuring they meet required quality standards
  • Record and enter QC data into the company’s database
  • Release finished goods and adjust quantities, tracking waste and discrepancies as needed
  • Investigate quality concerns and contribute to root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to ensure quality issues are addressed promptly
  • Assist inventory management by facilitating the movement of raw materials and finished products between the warehouse and production areas
  • Assist inventory management in investigating inventory discrepancies
  • Help maintain a safe and organized working environment, following company safety protocols

Requirements

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent; College diploma is an asset

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of previous manufacturing quality inspection experience
  • 1-2 years of experience using ERP system for inventory control and/or work order tracking
  • Previous experience with a forklift considered an asset
  • Previous experience handling chemicals.
  • Must be able to work safely with epoxies and similar materials

Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications
  • Able to learn new software systems quickly and troubleshoot or report minor technical issues
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to multitask with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and positively as part of a collaborative team
  • Must be able to read and write in English fluently
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs
