Kabuki Romanza has been locally owned for 34 years and is presently seeking a Floor Supervisor. Ideal candidates will have some experience in any type of team leadership. We will train and pay is based on experience. Floor Supervisor is expected to be a leader, reliable, and punctual.
Valid Texas Food Handlers and TABC certification / license is required upon employment offer.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Previous shift management or floor supervisor experience preferred. Excellent oral communication skills required. Positive interpersonal skills required. Must speak English fluently and be able to write in Basic English. Basic computer skills are preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to oversee that our guests have a great experience when dining at the restaurant. Shift Managers and Floor Supervisors are responsible for positive guest interactions and ensuring that restaurant staff treat guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, they are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Responsibilities
  • Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service. Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards. Monitor food and beverage costs based on bi-weekly inventory reports.
  • Supervise that FOH staff is providing proper dining experience and appropriate steps of service, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses. Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
  • Obtaining revenues receiving bar drawers, server checkouts and maintaining safe and petty cash funds.
  • Follow up daily that cleaning tasks are being completed. Assisting with special events as needed. Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort. Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
  • Supervision of 20+ employees each shift
  • Independent Judgment This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, or resolving grievances, as a shift manager you will be expected to work with guests and visitors to ensure satisfaction. A shift manager will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor to ensure the best possible guest experience.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates
  • Cleanliness & maintenance of the kitchen - ensures equipment is cleaned daily, supplies stored properly, etc
