OSM Thome Recruitment is looking for experienced Floor Supervisor Trainee for unique career opportunities in the cruise industry, on behalf of Carnival Cruise Line.
You’ll be overseeing a Deck of Guest Staterooms ensuring that the standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained and that any maintenance issues are reported to the technical team to be resolved. You will be spending your time in the guest Staterooms areas and you’ll be a highly visible member of the team, and will constantly interact with our guests and help them with questions. Qualifications and competence:

  • Fluent in conversational and written English, with a hospitable and positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic; vocational education is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel, resort, or cruise line in a similar housekeeping role.
  • Familiarity with Housekeeping Department operations and a good understanding of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Covid 19 Certificate
  • Health certificate
  • Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standar
Responsibilities
  • Ensure staterooms and bathrooms are cleaned to company standards.
  • Maintain full compliance with Housekeeping College procedures and USPH/VSP regulations.
  • Oversee and follow up on all special stateroom requirements for embarkation and cruise days.
  • Conduct regular inspections of assigned staterooms, corridors, pantries, and lockers to ensure high cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Ensure timely reporting and follow-up of any maintenance issues within stateroom sections.
  • Supervise and brief Stateroom Stewards and Assistant Stewards on daily duties, ensuring completion to standard and within timeframes.
  • Provide ongoing training and guidance on procedures, hygiene, and company expectations.
  • Ensure Stateroom Stewards are equipped with the necessary tools and supplies to perform their duties.
  • Liaise daily with VIP and suite guests to ensure all service needs are met.
  • Complete and maintain documentation such as work orders, hotel maintenance reports, performance reviews, and weekly performance rating charts.
  • Participate in management meetings and cooperate fully with the housekeeping leadership team.
  • Uphold all Carnival Values and hospitality standards in guest and crew interactions.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and HESS-MS protocols, including participation in boat drills and compliance with sanitation regulations.
  • Enforce company policies, including Time and Attendance procedures.Perform additional duties as directed by the Housekeeping Manager or Senior Housekeeping Management.
