POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of our facility’s floors and common areas. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous floor care or custodial experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting preferred, but not required – we provide training.
  • Ability to operate floor care equipment (buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floors according to facility standards.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs in resident rooms, hallways, and common areas.
  • Operate and maintain floor care equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Monitor floor conditions and promptly address spills or hazards.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
