Description Floor Technician We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our facilities maintenance team. Key Responsibilities: - Clean and maintain various types of flooring, including tile, carpet, vinyl, and hardwood, using appropriate cleaning equipment and solutions. - Operate floor cleaning machines such as buffers, polishers, and extractors to ensure optimal results. - Perform routine inspections of flooring surfaces to identify and address issues such as stains, damage, or wear. - Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. - Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, notifying management when supplies need replenishing. - Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED diploma Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and perform basic math computations as needed. Previous long term care experience preferred. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, perform overhead lifting and perform other common physical movements as needed for the position. May be subject to falls, burns from equipment, and/or odors throughout the day; encounter reactions from dust, tobacco smoke, disinfectants, and other air contaminants. Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases and/or conditions which include AIDS, Coronavirus, Hepatitis B, and Tuberculosis.
