Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Floor Technician to join our team. As a Floor Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of floors in both commercial and medical building settings. Your attention to detail and expertise in floor care will directly impact the comfort and satisfaction of building occupants and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine floor cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing, to ensure floors are free from debris and maintain a polished appearance. Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to address stains, spills, and other floor-related issues promptly and effectively. Strive to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation, especially in medical building settings, where infection control and hygiene are of utmost importance. Operate and maintain floor care equipment, such as scrubbers, buffers, and extractors, ensuring they are in proper working condition. Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs related to flooring or other building elements. Assist in moving furniture and equipment as needed for floor cleaning and maintenance activities. Communicate professionally with building occupants and visitors, addressing any concerns or inquiries related to floor cleanliness. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting shortages and assisting in restocking as necessary. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while performing job duties. Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or the Supreme Building Maintenance team. Qualifications Qualifications Previous experience in floor care, janitorial, or custodial roles preferred. Valid Driver's License to use company vehicles. Knowledge of different types of flooring materials and appropriate cleaning methods for each. Familiarity with using and maintaining floor care equipment, such as scrubbers, buffers, and wet vacuums. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to follow instructions, guidelines, and safety protocols effectively. Flexibility to work during non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment, furniture, and supplies.
