SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Flooring Estimator to join our team. The Flooring Estimator will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, analyzing technical drawings, and supporting sales and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires strong knowledge of flooring materials, installation processes, and construction practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Degree or diploma in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of estimating experience in flooring or construction industry.

• Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and project specifications to determine flooring requirements.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, material lists, and labor cost estimates.
• Source and compare prices for flooring products, finishes, and accessories.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to clarify project details.
• Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals for clients.
• Monitor budgets, track cost variations, and assist in project forecasting.
• Maintain current knowledge of flooring materials, installation techniques, and industry standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with resolving technical issues or discrepancies during project execution.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience as an estimator, preferably in flooring, construction, or related trades.
• Strong knowledge of flooring products (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, tile, etc.) and installation processes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and measurement tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in PlanSwift software
