As demand for our services continues to grow, we’re looking for a dedicated and personable Flooring Estimator to join our expanding team.
This is not your typical desk job — as a Flooring Estimator at Mr Carpet, you’ll be out on the road, visiting customers in their homes and helping bring their flooring visions to life. You’ll be responsible for accurately measuring spaces, assessing project requirements, and preparing clear, detailed estimates. You’ll work closely with both customers and our in-house sales team to ensure a smooth handover to our expert fitters — making sure every project starts on the right foot.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in flooring, estimating, or a related trade
• Comfortable working in customers’ homes with a professional, friendly attitude
• Strong measuring and maths skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Self-motivated and highly organised
• Full UK driving licence and a clean driving record

• Travel to customer homes to measure flooring areas and assess installation needs
• Have an understanding and respectful approach to make customers feel relaxed and reassured in their homes.
• Have a respectful approach to Interpret customer preferences and provide advice on suitable flooring options
• Responsible for preparing a detailed and accurate flooring plan in a timely manner
• Carry out inspections of where we have identified a faulty floor or any other areas of concern
• Processing customer orders thoroughly and accurately where applicable.
• Accurately calculate materials, labour, and costs for each project
• Liaise with the sales team and fitting crews to ensure seamless project planning
