QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in the flooring or building materials industry (required)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficiency with inventory management systems or software

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments

• Source flooring materials (carpet, vinyl, hardwood, tile, adhesives) from vendors and manufacturers
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals
• Evaluate vendor performance and maintain relationships with key suppliers
• Track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials for projects
• Assist the Accounting Department with reviewing invoices from suppliers
• Analyze material costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies
• Set reorder points and manage restocking to avoid material shortages or overstock
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to forecast material needs
• Prepare inventory and procurement reports for management review
• Resolve material-related issues that could delay project schedules
• Ensure compliance with quality standards
• File claims with vendors for missing and/or damaged items
