Job Description
- Technical working knowledge of flora and botany, vegetation and habitat classifications, and ecosystem dynamics within Singapore and/or SE Asia. Includes terrestrial biodiversity; knowledge of coastal or intertidal floral (e.g., mangroves/seagrass) communities is a plus.
- Contributing to environmental projects and business growth in Singapore, SE Asia, and Asia (depending project opportunities) on technical aspects of one or more of the following: Biodiversity Impact Assessment (BIA), Environmental Maintenance and Management Plans (EMMP), Environmental Baseline Studies (EBS) including biodiversity baselining or monitoring etc. Ability to work on a combination of these services will be highly regarded.
- Participate/experienced in biodiversity surveys with a key emphasis on flora, ID species on site, experienced biodiversity impact assessments, sustainability reporting TNFD etc.
- Have a keen interest and knowledge base in Nature Positive approaches, habitat restoration and habitat offsetting.
- Contributing to project presentations and client meetings with senior staff and Project Managers.
- Technical support working closely with senior staff and Project Managers
- Business development support for current and prospective clients.
- Comply with quality management on all work products.
- Task budgeting and scheduling control.
- Coordinating with stakeholders, sub-consultants and other disciplines, as necessary.
- Business travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Nature Conservation, Nature Based Solutions or other related disciplines (e.g., civil engineering and environmental engineering) OR Bachelor’s degree plus equivalent years of experience in the environmental field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in ecological consultancy, environmental engineering, environmental planning or environmental management sector. Qualified applicants will be considered for senior positions.
- Ability to use modeling software/s will be highly regarded.
- Candidates with graphic skills such as CAD or GIS, will be highly regarded.
- Candidates with proven project management ability will be highly regarded.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and presentation) are essential qualities to successfully work on our teams with diverse disciplines and cultures.
