Description Job Summary Join our team part time and provide a warm and welcoming experience for guests exploring Mackenthun’s Floral and Gift selections. This role focuses on exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and gift presentation while supporting store events and daily department operations. Key Responsibilities Guest Engagement and Service Greet customers and assist with selecting floral arrangements, plants, and gifts for every occasion Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences and occasion type Answer phones, take orders, and ensure all order details are accurate and fulfilled in a timely manner Handle returns or concerns with a service-first approach that builds lasting customer relationships Product pricing and merchandising Process and re-cut flowers, perform quality control and water plants to maintain freshness and display standards Department organization and cleanliness Gift Presentation and Merchandising Wrap, package, and present floral and gift items attractively for pickup and delivery Maintain well-stocked displays of floral gifts, candles, plush, balloons, and accessories Assist in creating themed gift bundles and seasonal displays Support and Coordination Help prepare and stage daily floral deliveries Collaborate with team members during peak seasons and events Maintain cleanliness and organization in work and retail areas Requirements Qualifications Prior customer service or retail experience preferred Friendly, helpful, and confident in engaging with guests Strong attention to detail and follow through Working Conditions and Physical Demands Frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds Use of point-of-sale systems, phones, and packing tools Extended periods in refrigerated environments Use of floral tools and exposure to cleaning agents Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays Benefits Summary for Part Time Employment: Earned Safe & Sick Time Shift differentials for working Sundays & Holidays 10% discount at any Mackenthun’s locations Referral bonuses Dietitian services
