What You Will Be Doing As a Floral Manager, you will direct and control the operation of the Floral Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, quality, freshness, and selection. You will lead a team by supervising, motivating, and training personnel, while managing inventory, merchandising, and seasonal promotions. This role combines creativity with leadership, as you will design custom floral arrangements, create effective displays, and maintain compliance with company standards. You will play a key role in driving departmental sales and profitability, managing costs, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Main Responsibilities * Supervise, train, schedule Floral Department personnel, and performance management. * Required to manage online services such as FTD and DoorDash. * Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service. * Order, receive, price, and merchandise floral products, plants, and accessories. * Ensure product freshness, proper conditioning, and compliance with storage guidelines. * Create custom floral arrangements, corsages, bows, and seasonal displays. * Monitor sales trends, seasonal promotions, and customer feedback to optimize inventory and merchandising. * Manage departmental sales, gross margin, and cost objectives. * Maintain accurate records, process administrative paperwork, and perform periodic inventories. * Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and sanitation schedules. What We Are Searching For Skills & Competencies * Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage people in a fast-paced environment. * Creative ability for floral design and color coordination. * Knowledge of merchandising procedures and floral department operations. Qualifications * Previous experience in a Floral Department or similar retail environment. * Understanding of perishability, seasonality, and proper handling of floral products. * Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and work in varying conditions (coolers and outdoor displays). * Basic math skills and administrative ability for scheduling and sales projections.
