WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Certified Medical Lab, or Certified Lab Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Lab Scientist, or American Medical Technologist is required
  • At least one year experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities


    • Receive and accession sample specimens according to departments protocols.

    • Process prepared sample according to department protocols.
    • Preliminary data analysis and technical interpretation for all Flow Cytometry data generated in the laboratory.
    • Testing includes, but is not limited to, leukemia and lymphoma phenotyping on Bone Marrow, Peripheral Blood, Tissues, and fluids, CD3 Enumeration and Stem Cell Enumeration.
    • Assist the coordinator with administrative functions such as inventory, validations, instrument performance verifications, weekly and monthly maintenance.
    • Communicate directly with pathologists regarding test results, interpretations and compilation of clinical reports and filesHandle CAP Surveys
    • Display satisfactory clinical competency on standard procedures.
    • Work with other departments within Medical City Hematopathology lab and Main lab.
    • Assist in documentation and maintaining effective department QA/QC programs and monitoring.
    • Perform within the productivity expectations as set forth by current department guidelines.
