Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Flower Technician will report to the Flower Supervisor and will be responsible for carrying out all flower room related tasks, including applying integrated pest management (IPM) program, sanitation, plant maintenance, transplanting, adding trellis net and shoot selection. The Flower Technician will carry out Zenabis’ policies procedures and contribute towards the goal of achieving production targets within set timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work in a regulated environment such as commercial food, national grocery store, national retailer, etc.
- Ability to work in fast paced and growing environment
- Commercial grow experience or professional equivalency is considered an asset
- Post-secondary Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry and (or) any other related technical discipline is desirable
- Agricultural/Manufacturing background in a GACP, HACCP, GPP, GMP or ISO regulated environment is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in cultivation of cannabis or other delicate commercial crops is considered an asset
Pay: Hourly
Security Clearance: Security Clearance may be requested for this position
working Hours: Hourly Position - Shift Work. Some occasional weekend work or on-call work may be required as per direction of immediate supervisor/manager
Physical Requirements: Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of cultivation warehouse

Responsibilities:
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) for all flower activities during cannabis processing, at all times, to produce consistent quality cannabis products
- Assure all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all processing stages within flower area
- Implement standard procedures that maximize equipment safety, sanitation practices, maintenance support and assure consistent quality product output
- Ensure regulatory requirements needed for premises and equipment used for cultivation are maintained in clean and sanitary conditions
- Ensure GPP, GACP and GMP guidelines are adhere to the highest standard
- Responsible for sanitation of equipment and production areas
- Ensure refuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current approved standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with department associates in all facility areas to improve process performance and safety
- Employ professional and clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive team atmosphere
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Department Supervisors/Leads and Managers
