JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled FLT Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Forklift Trucks (FLT) to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse.
This role requires a strong knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The FLT Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring that our warehouse operations run smoothly and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is advantageous.
  • Competence in basic maths for inventory management and record keeping.
  • Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently as required by the role.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems is beneficial.
  • A valid Forklift Licence is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Operate Forklift Trucks to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Assist in the organisation of the warehouse layout to optimise space and workflow.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials handled, including quantities and locations.
