The Flu Vaccination Nurse will be responsible for delivering seasonal influenza vaccinations to eligible populations across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight geographical area.
The role involves travel between sites and working collaboratively with local teams to ensure high uptake and safe delivery of the vaccination programme.

Key Activities / Responsibilities

  • Administer flu vaccinations in accordance with national guidelines and local protocols.
  • Conduct pre-vaccination assessments, including screening for contraindications and obtaining informed consent.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation using electronic systems.
  • Provide health promotion and education regarding flu prevention and vaccine safety.
  • Ensure safe storage, handling, and transportation of vaccines in line with cold chain requirements.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of vaccination clinics across multiple sites.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures and clinical governance standards

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in large vaccination programmes Experience using NHS endorsed PoC systems (NIVS/RAVS) to record vaccination events
