SUMMARY: The Fluid Technician maintains customer machinery, including maintaining accurate fluid levels and concentrations, lubrication, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associates consistent with Core Behaviors * Responsible for promoting culture of safety * Maintain machinery, checking fluid levels, adding fluid, and troubleshooting * Collect, package, and ship fluid samples for testing * Respond to customer requests * Maintain accurate records  * Adhere to safe working practices, such as logging and tagging machinery * Perform other duties as assigned * Perform all work in accordance to ISO processes and procedures * May be trained to use a sump sucker and pressure washer for purpose of cleaning machines * Hand shoveling machine sumps * Employee will be trained in operation, dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling of centrifuge and sump sucker. * Employee will be trained to test coolants using the following equipment/items – Refractometer, pH strips, pH meter, conductivity meter, bacteria/fungus strips, and tramp oil oven.   QUALIFICATIONS: * Proficient use of tools and equipment required, including power washer, refractometer * Proficient knowledge of different types of machinery  * Proficient knowledge of fluids and compounds * Introductory knowledge of inventory management principles * Excellent skills in operating and inspecting forklift trucks   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * No direct supervisory responsibility.    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  * Work-related experience required/high school diploma or GED preferred * Up to 2 year’s experience in a similar position preferred   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * Forklift certification, other certifications as required by the customer   WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Employee is regularly required to speak and understand English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employee is required to use computer and other equipment. * Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to _50_ pounds.
