FLUIDS FABRICATION TECHNICIAN II/III Based out of Rocket Lab's Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Fluids Assembly Technician is responsible for building the fluids systems sub-assemblies for Archimedes engine. (Please note: this position can be hired at the Fluids Fabrication Technician II or Fluids Fabrication Technician III level) WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Set-up and operate CNC tube cutting equipment Perform tube bending, flaring, fit up, and preparation to meet project specifications and industry standards Cutting and assembling tubes based on provided drawings. Assisting with day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A FLUIDS FABRICATION TECHNICIAN II: 2+ years of Tube shop experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry Experience with tube bending machines from .250 to 6’ tubes Experience with BLM tube benders High school diploma or GED. YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A FLUIDS FABRICATION TECHNICIAN III: 5+ years of Tube shop experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry Experience working with Inconel, titanium, aluminum and stainless steel Experience working with close tolerances Working knowledge of Tube Bending technology High school diploma or GED. THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: 8+ years of mechanical assembly and/or mechanical fitting experience Hands-on experience with CNC tube bending Expertise in operating BLM tube benders Skilled in maintaining and working with close tolerances Knowledgeable in handling materials including Inconel, titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Willing to work Monday - Thursday (5:30am - 3:30pm or 3:15pm - 1:45am) Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces. Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods – 8 hours min Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
