Orcon Infrastructure Ltd. is operated by NASSCO certified operators and utilizes the latest CUEs CCTV sewer inspection equipment. Inspections can be completed up to 370 meters in length and we have a range of tractors available to inspect all pipes sizes. Both Vactors contains a 15 yard debris body and 1,500 gallons of fresh water. Services are available throughout the work week, night time and weekends. We are a member of Liuna Local 183

JOB DESCRIPTION

Orcon Infrastructure Ltd. is actively looking for an experienced employee to support our operations on the Combo (flusher) / Hydro Vac Truck to work at various construction sites throughout the GTA and Ontario. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with good problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently individually or in a team environment. Experience will determine salary.

The Combo (flusher) / Hydro Vac Truck operator will be responsible for performing on-sewer pipe flushing and vacuum operations. Operations must be performed in a way that coincides with best practices and must be carried out in a manner that in compliant with Orcon’s Health and Safety policy and practices. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner that is consistent with Orcon’s vision, mission and must comply with all company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid DZ/AZ license and provide a clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum of 3 years experience operating a Combo (flusher) / Hydro Vac Truck.
  • Experience working on a CCTV truck is an asset.
  • Mechanical and technical experience considered an asset
  • Willing to learn and work alone or in a team environment.
  • Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
  • Knowledge on the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the regulations.
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights certification is an asset.
  • Current Health and Safety certifications are an asset.
  • WHMIS Certificate, First Aid Certification, CPR Certificate all an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct hydro excavation, sewer flushing / cleaning, catch basin cleaning and lateral flushing using appropriate equipment.
  • Set up / connect hoses and tools from hydro blast pump to operations ranging from 50 – 500 feet in length. Set ups may include elevated work towers, vessels and buildings.
  • Trouble shoot issues and equipment, including preventative maintenance.
  • Perform daily inspections of all aspects of truck equipment, including hoses and pumps.
  • Safely drive truck to and from various construction sites throughout the GTA / Ontario to facilitate timely completion of projects.
  • Complete daily reports and driver’s logs according to regulations, including inspection, maintenance, repair, accident and incident reports in a timely manner.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs to load and unload heavy equipment and perform manual labour on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Follow and promote safe work practices by complying with all Health and Safety policies, practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of municipal engineering, construction, and maintenance operations.
  • Ability to read and understand site drawings.
  • Confined Space Entries, Traffic Control Plans, and Toolbox Safety Talks.
  • Must be able to work in all outdoor elements for extended periods of time
