Description Job Title: Ops Support Assistant Department Name: Operations Reports to (title): Master Scheduler / Planner Business Unit: Fort Mill Job Summary: Coordinates the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates. Essential Job Functions: Planning, scheduling and coordinating production through use of the ERP systems. Using ERP system to evaluate raw material and equipment availability, ensuring everything is in place for production. Create work orders in the system and release to production Sequencing the order of production tasks. Reporting on the production status and any production issues to operations management. Communicate production disruptions and productivity problems. Adapting to changes in customer demand or unforeseen disruptions. Ensuring timely delivery of products. Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements Utilize ERP system to auto-generate manufacturing work orders Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages Notify Sales of any schedule impacts to customers Coordinate/expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved Completes status reports, such as production progress, customer information and materials inventory as needed Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements Participate in continuous improvement projects Other duties as assigned by location specifics. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: High School Diploma or equivalent experience or associate or bachelor’s degree 3+ years of experience scheduling in manufacturing environment Ability to interact well with internal and external customers Excellent communication skills Proficient use of computer systems and software applications, in-depth knowledge of ERP Physical Requirements: Office / Warehouse environment Ability to work for long periods at computer Ability to sit or stand a minimum of 8 hours per day DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
