Description Title: FM Order Checker Department(s): FM Shipping Reports to: Distribution manager Job Summary: Verifies the accuracy of customer orders to be shipped while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures ensuring that the correct product will be shipped in the correct quantity and quality. Signing orders as validation and communicating all findings to Management. Essential job functions: Verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment. Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents of items for hardware and orders. Documents the review of each order to provide an accurate record of transactions. Compare items packed with customer's order and other identifying data. Notify leads and/or management of errors found during audits. Ability to lift cases and packaged products to restack pallets if incorrectly done to help prevent unsafe shipping practices. Must work in a clean and orderly way and promote effective housekeeping. Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the department. Other duties as requested.
