    Our client, a leading food distribution and retail organisation in the Turks and Caicos Islands, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sales Manager – Food Service to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate all aspects of product ordering, receiving, and distribution for food service clients, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and commercial growth.
    This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to managing client relationships, special requests, and delivery logistics. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in supporting the profitability and continued success of the Food Service Division.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond promptly to all customer orders and inquiries via telephone and email
  • Manage special order requests and ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Enter invoices correctly to ensure accurate billing
  • Receive and inspect special-order shipments for quantity, quality, and freshness
  • Report any issues related to temperature, damage, or food safety promptly
  • Maintain proper product rotation and ensure quality control compliance
  • Notify clients of out-of-stock items daily and suggest suitable alternatives
  • Oversee collections and ensure timely payments
  • Deliver monthly client statements during the first two (2) days of each month
  • Submit weekly client visit reports, including dates and times, to management
  • Conduct regular market research to identify trending and seasonal products
  • Promote the Food Service Division to new and prospective business clients
  • Address and escalate customer service, quality, or logistics issues as needed
  • Assist with delivery of customer orders to designated locations when required
  • Communicate shipping statuses to clients, ensuring temperature control during transit
  • Manage and clear excess stock of non-moving special-order items
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering product knowledge and consistent support
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company grooming standards
  • Keep the workspace clean, organised, and compliant with all food safety protocols
