Description

Overview of Position:
Coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents. Responsible for driver training and skill assessment to include on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, and maintaining compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulation.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively evaluate, monitor, analyze and identify all driver compliance and non-compliance issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for helping manage internal and external compliance reporting, providing compliance advice and assistance, conducting compliance investigations, manage on-going education programs.
  • Monitor and assist in enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for conducting all tasks associate with:

o Driver Qualification- Medical cards/physicals, CDL, Annual Driving Records
o Driver Training- DOT regulations
o Driver Records- assist in processing employment applications, DOT required documents, company policies and required screening: MVR, PSP, Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, Background/Employment verifications
o Conduct daily audits of drivers to ensure compliance and productivity through a fleet management tracking software system

o Help administer random drug screens and expiration list processes including driver’s license and medical card renewal.

  • Administer the company’s compliance program
  • Assist with Accident Investigations
  • Other duties as required

Education and/or Experience:

  • Two (2) plus years of experience in transportation; CDL “B” with P/S endorsement.
  • Expertise and extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Avatar experience a plus
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
