JOB OVERVIEW

The Front of House Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant’s front-of-house activities. This position is responsible for overseeing the dining area, managing staff, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with experience in both casual and fine dining environments. The Front of House Manager will work closely with kitchen staff and management to create a seamless dining experience for guests.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and budgeting practices.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
  • Experience with cash handling and operating POS systems
  • Leadership capabilities with a focus on team management and development.
  • Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is preferred.
  • Ability to manage shifts effectively while ensuring high-quality service during peak hours.
  • Culinary experience is a plus, along with banquet or catering experience for special events.
