HOURS OF WORK

We are looking for permanent part-time or full-time candidates for immediate start.

To meet the requirements of the hotel, our candidates will be expected to work a blend of morning and evening shifts to ensure fairness within the team:

  • Morning shift: 7:00 am- 3pm
  • Evening shift: 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Minimum 1-year previous experience of FOH.
  • Our hotel can be a dynamic working environment and requires its staff to enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Meikleour Arms Hotel is in a rural area with limited public transport, particularly on weekends. There are buses through the village for a 7 am start or finish after 6 pm. Please do not apply if you don’t have your own transport to get to us.
  • We can only consider applicants who can evidence their right to work in the UK. Appropriate checks will done before employment.
  • Professional reference checks will be made with your approval.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., ingredients, or potential food allergies)
  • Take orders and serve our guests in our award-winning rosette restaurant.
  • Provide excellent customer service and exceed guests’ expectations.
  • On some shifts you might also work behind the bar taking drink orders and managing the till and bills. Having your license is not essential but will be looked upon favourably.
