FortyEight – Wine Bar & Kitchen in Freshfields Village is a full-service restaurant with multiple event spaces and a wine bar that offers 48 wines by the glass every day. We are looking for a versatile, intelligent, and energetic FOH supervisor with a passion for delivering outstanding service and the ability to ensure the smooth running of our unique establishment to join our team.

As FOH Supervisor, you will:

• Coordinate the services of wait staff to ensure the delivery of timely and exceptional service to all patrons.
• Enforce and monitor all health, food safety and sanitation standards within the restaurant.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by quickly resolving any issues.
• Facilitate quick and efficient communication between the front and back of house.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of policies, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas, ensuring staff complete side work on every shift.
• Support servers and bartenders during service.
• May need to bartend when needed.
• Manage the refilling of NapaTech wine machines and troubleshoot when necessary.
• Assist in the retail area by helping guests pick out wines for purchase.
• Greet incoming and departing guests to create a pleasant ambiance and experience.
• Promptly answer incoming calls, take reservations, coordinate takeout and delivery services.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues, customer inquiries and escalations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school education or equivalent, college degree preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Front of house and bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of SC ABC laws.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Systems knowledge and efficiency.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
