Saltfish is a Seafood restaurant and organic wine bar set in the independently owned refurbished Georgian Houndgate Townhouse Hotel in the centre of Darlington. Saltfish will be offering a buzzing trade all day from breakfasts through to dinner service, showcasing fabulous fresh and sustainable seafood cooked on the open fire, freshly shucked oysters.
Our professional, dedicated and friendly team will guide the customers with pairing seafood and wines from our showstopper Wine Bar selection.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a passionate, hungry and dedicated experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at the beginning of a special journey. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running and Supervising of the Restaurant, motivating staff, helping to create and maintain our high service and product quality standards. This is a brilliant opportunity for a person who wants to have a real impact on an exciting new venture.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Create a welcoming, environment for customers
  • Be involved in the induction and ongoing training of all front of house staff
  • Ensuring consistent high quality service is met throughout the business
  • Someone who creates a positive work environment for staff, in particular junior staff and encourages their career development
  • Running shifts
  • Encourage a “customer first” culture within the team
  • Work closely with the Saltfish team to deliver the highest possible standard and most efficient service to the customer.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
