Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Front of House Barista Team Member. Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide menus
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set before seating guests
- Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions about the menu
- Process payments and handle cash transactions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front of house area
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Skills:
- Culinary knowledge to assist guests with menu choices
- Excellent guest services skills to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and payment processing
- Familiarity with kitchen operations to coordinate with kitchen staff
