WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING A FOOD AND BEVERAGE ASSISTANT MANAGER FOR A 3-MONTH CONTRACT FROM AUGUST - OCTOBER, 2025 WITH THE POSSIBILITY FOR THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE TO CONTINUE INTO THE NEXT SEASON (MARCH - OCTOBER, 2026).

As Food and Beverage Assistant Manager you will assist the F&B Manager in creating an outstanding guest experience on our dockside patio and onboard our three sightseeing and dining vessels. You will help lead and organize a team of Servers, Bartenders and Canteen Attendants to efficiently and professionally execute public and exclusive hospitality operations and maintain delivery of service standards through vessel dining and canteen concessions.

This is a seasonal position: including full-time employment from May to October. As we are a seasonal tourism business, weekend and holiday work is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Positive attitude and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
  • Outstanding communication proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in other languages is an asset.
  • Heavy lifting and other demanding physical work is occasionally required.
  • Previous experience in a management role is required for this position.
  • Smart-Serve certification required.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Help draft and support operations recruitment plan.
  • Help plan and execute onboarding as needed.
  • Scheduling and administrative tasks associated to department.
  • Assist team with daily setup tasks ensuring patio and vessels are ready for service.
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of food and beverage items, allergens, cook times and inventory.
  • Conduct daily team huddles to communicate updates and relevant information.
  • Ensure that proper end of day event report procedures are followed and floats are accurate.
  • Accurately expedite, fill out, and collect required paperwork (forms, guest evaluations, cleaning lists, deposits).
  • Consistently demonstrate standards for service timing and service excellence.
  • In collaboration with F&B Coordinator, prepare weekly, daily and turnaround restocking requirements.
  • Execute month-end inventory counts with Food & Beverage Manager and Coordinator.
  • Acquire full operational knowledge of each piece of hospitality equipment.
  • Become proficient in operation and management of POS System and related devices.
  • Participate in safety drills/become familiar with the Company Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs: exceed expectations, create an outstanding experience.
