Reports to: Manager of Event Operations

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Smart Serve is considered a major asset. (included in the tip pool)
  • Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Outstanding listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Honesty and professional integrity.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment with a proactive positive attitude.
  • Ability to work unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

The primary role of this position serves food and beverages all patrons at any event at the Sudbury Arena.

  • Clean, wash and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, service ware, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.
  • Taking orders on a POS system/collecting payment for orders.
  • Preparing the food service area for the night which includes food preparation.
  • May provide guidance and training to other employees performing related work.
  • Assist with inventory counts daily.
  • Other duties as assigned.
