CAREER OPPORTUNITY - Food & Beverage Manager Apes Hill Resort Inc., a world-class golf resort and private residential community in Barbados, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurants and bar, ensuring the highest standards in food and beverage quality, managing budgets, leading a talented team, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Role The Food & Beverage Manager reports to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for: Daily Operations: Managing restaurant and bar functions, implementing policies, and monitoring KPIs. Staff Leadership: Coaching, co-ordinating training, scheduling and motivating the Food & Beverage team. Budget Management: Controlling food and labour costs, and adhering to the Food & Beverage budget. Stock Control: Maintaining accurate inventories, monitoring par levels, and reducing pilferage. Menu Development: Collaborating on menu design and offerings. Customer Service: Upholding service standards, handling complaints and driving guest satisfaction. Health & Safety: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies. The Candidate The Food & Beverage Manager should: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Food & Beverage, Culinary, Food Service Management or a related field. Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in hospitality with an emphasis on Food & Beverage management. Possess the ability to understand, analyse and interpret numerical data. Have strong managerial and supervisory skills. Be proficient in the use of restaurant management software and various components of Microsoft Office Suite; namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Possess organisational and problem-solving skills. Have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Be flexible to work varying hours, weekends, and holidays.
