POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the hotel’s poolside food and beverage outlet. This role ensures a seamless and exceptional guest experience by overseeing service, staffing, inventory, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Certification in Food Safety Management (e.g., SERV Safe).
  • Experience with hotel industry F&B pool operations.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a food and beverage management role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Proficiency in MICROS POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all day-to-day F&B operations at the pool, including order taking, food and drink preparation, and timely delivery to guests.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in accordance with health codes and company policies.
  • Manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste to meet and exceed budget goals.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication and team-building.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Lead by example to deliver exceptional and personalized guest service.
  • Proactively address guest feedback, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Process and manage all financial transactions, including cash handling and daily reporting.
  • Develop and update menus and beverage offerings to align with seasonal trends and guest preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food handling and alcohol service.
