Overview
The Bay Club is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead and elevate our dining and event operations. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a member-focused environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service, managing high-performing teams, and creating memorable culinary and social experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee daily operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar, events, and seasonal dining.
· Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
· Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on member satisfaction.
· Ensure consistent, high-quality service aligned with the Club’s standards.
· Engage with members to understand preferences and respond to feedback.
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team with professional communication and coordination.
· Lead all member and sponsored social event activity, including planning, execution, and post-event review.
· Manage banquet event orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate and timely communication across departments.
· Manage scheduling, payroll, and labor costs within budget.
· Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost control.
· Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting for F&B operations.
· Track performance metrics and implement strategies to improve member experience while being responsible financially.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of experience in food & beverage management, preferably in a private club or upscale hospitality setting.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
· Proficiency in POS systems, Banquet Event software and basic financial reporting.
· Banquet event order (BEO) experience required.
· Working knowledge of kitchen operations and ability to communicate professionally with culinary staff.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation. ServSafe certification preferred.
· Ability to work in a seasonal environment with fluctuations in level of activity that require you to oversee multiple tasks efficiently.
· Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Compensations & Benefits:
Base salary commensurate on experience range $65,000-$75,000. Performance Bonus up to $5,000, Commissions on non-member Event Revenue estimated $3,500 to $5,000, Holiday bonus.
