Job Description
As a Food & Beverage Morning Supervisor at Mercure Perth, you will lead the team to ensure exceptional guest experiences within our outlets and event spaces during morning service periods. We are seeking a passionate and hands on supervisor with experience in conferencing, events, and F&B operations who thrives on delivering outstanding service and fostering team success.
In this role, you will:
Supervise and assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of events across multiple function rooms and event spaces.
Lead and mentor the afternoon F&B team, ensuring smooth operations and consistent high-quality service.
Welcome guests warmly to our food and beverage outlets, ensuring every interaction is memorable.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including any changes or promotions, and communicate these effectively to both guests and the team.
Oversee the settlement of customer accounts within our POS system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare basic beverages and supervise barista and bartending activities as required.
Be an active promoter of Mercure Perth, contributing innovative ideas to enhance service delivery and drive revenue.
Maintain high standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation.
Promote and uphold workplace safety by identifying hazards and fostering a culture of WHS awareness.
Collaborate with other teams and outlets as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Barista qualification and proven ability to prepare a variety of coffee beverages.
Current working rights in Australia.
Proven experience in supervising food and beverage operations, particularly in conferencing and events.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
