Our client, a leading hospitality group in Malta, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Food & Beverage Operations Manager to oversee the food and beverage operations across two established hotel properties.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of all food and beverage outlets, maintaining excellent service standards, enhancing guest satisfaction, and maximising operational efficiency and profitability.

What is expected of you?

• Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets across the hotel properties
• Ensure consistently high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
• Work closely with the Executive Head Chef on menu planning, development, and implementation
• Prepare and manage budgets for the food and beverage outlets
• Monitor revenue, costs, and expenses to ensure financial and operational targets are achieved
• Introduce and maintain effective cost-control measures to maximise profitability
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve the performance of the outlets
• Recruit, onboard, train, supervise, and develop food and beverage team members
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support
• Promote customer service best practices and ensure these are consistently followed by all team members
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly, professionally, and effectively
• Plan and coordinate events and functions from initial preparation through to successful delivery
• Ensure compliance with all applicable food hygiene, health, and safety requirements
• Work closely with the Kitchen, Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless operations
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, guest experience, and operational efficiency
• Remain informed about hospitality trends, customer expectations, and industry best practices
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven working environment
• Carry out any additional responsibilities that may reasonably fall within the remit of the Food and Beverage department

What are you expected to bring?

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Operations Manager position or a comparable senior hospitality role is essential
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations within a hotel or multi-outlet hospitality environment
• Proven experience managing teams, budgets, costs, and operational performance
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
• A commercially focused mindset with the ability to improve revenue and profitability
• A hands-on, proactive, and guest-focused approach
• The ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
