The Food & Wine Server position is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience at the Vineyard Kitchen & Bistro. This position also has opportunities to facilitate educational tour experiences, large group reservation and wine club membership sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Passion for Niagara wine, food and wine pairings and willingness to continue to learn.
· Excellent hospitality, sales, organizational, and customer service skills.
· Professional appearance, approachable and positive demeanor.
· Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
· Smart Serve Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Continuous standing / walking for all tasks
· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 20kg
· Sweeping, mopping and other hands-on cleaning duties

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service
    · Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
    · Provide menu recommendations, take orders accurately, and answer inquiries regarding food and beverages.
    · Ensure timely and efficient service to meet guests’ needs.
  2. Food and Beverage Handling:
    · Deliver orders promptly and accurately to tables.
    · Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and timely.
    · Monitor food quality and address any concerns raised by guests.
  3. Table Maintenance:
    · Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service.
    · Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.
  4. Upselling and Revenue Generation:
    · Promote menu items and seasonal offerings to increase sales.
    · Suggest additional experiences on property to enhance the overall experience.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    · Work closely with other team members, including kitchen staff, dishwashers, bussers and management, to ensure smooth operations.
    · Assist colleagues when needed to ensure exceptional service.
