JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing excellent guest services. This role involves preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Food Service Worker will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while efficiently managing their time and tasks.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and portion sizes
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas for service
• Provide excellent guest services by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
• Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience for guests
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service
• Handle cash transactions accurately using basic maths skills
