The Cliff Hotel is a busy, fast paced business and we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food and Drinks Runner. You must be confident around people, enjoy the high volume nature of the role.
We are a busy hotel that offers numerous dining experiences under one roof from an a-la-carte menu and themed afternoon teas to catering for large functions. Our sea view terraces, overlooking Gorleston beach, have some of the most sort after tables in town. We take pride in delivering outstanding hospitality and providing an exceptional dining experience.

As a Food and Drinks Runner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of food and beverages to guests. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the serving staff in delivering food and drinks to tables promptly and accurately.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and on time.
  • Clearing tables and ensuring they are clean and ready for the next guest.
  • Assisting in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Providing excellent customer service by attending to guest inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Cooperating with the team to maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • A positive and friendly attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
