QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Proven work experience as a Food and Beverage Supervisor/Shift Manager or similar role
  • You will lead by example with a flexible can-do attitude and approach to working
  • Proficiency in multiple task and time management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Food Safety and Cellar Management
  • BIIAB Level 2 Personal Licence Holder
  • Driving licence

Responsibilities

THE ROLE OF FOOD & BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR/SHIFT MANAGER

The Food & Beverage Supervisor/Shift Manager will be responsible for leading the team to ensure a memorable experience from every interaction. You will ensure that there is a warm welcome into any of the areas that our guests are in and that a memorable experience is created through genuine hospitality. Fantastic organisation and communication are key to deliver an exceptional event experience for our guests.
A key aspect of the role of Food & Beverage Supervisor/Shift Manageris to forge a great rapport with guests from initial contact and ensure the team also do this, strong working relationships with all departments to ensure great service delivery & effectively maximise revenue when there is opportunity.

THE DAILY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TYPICALLY INCLUDE:

· Supervising the food and beverage team during shift. Allocating staff accordingly during service to suit the needs of the business whilst staying focused on a streamlined operation.
· Briefing staff and checking the room set up before events.
· Working closely with Wedding Co-ordinators/Head Chef to ensure all dietary requirements have been communicated to all relevant staff.
· Planning well and liaising with other departments to ensure each event runs smoothly.
· Ability to cope under pressure in a fast paced environment, with a cool head to deal with last minute requests and problems.
· Ensuring all catering and bar areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
· Maintaining all compliance and due diligence standards/records in line with Food Safety, Health and Safety and other legal requirements.
· Ensuring all bar and catering areas are turned around, ready for the next event or show around.
· Maintain cash/card payment systems and reconcile bar takings during events.
· Managing staff, ensuring high-quality food and drinks, and maintaining exceptional customer service.
· Assist F&B Manager with staff training and scheduling shifts.
· Work closely with security teams during events and oversee any staff or customer-related issues that arise during shift.
