Food and Beverage Supervisor
Hours: 40hrs contract

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced F&B Supervisor to join our highly successful team in at the Mercure Newcastle, George Washington Hotel, Golf and Spa, where you will receive a competitive salary plus amazing benefits which include discounted Food & Beverage and stays in our hotels, meals on duty, pension and a full uniform is provided.
As our F&B Supervisor, you will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations.
You will be expected inspire a high level of service throughout the F&B team and constantly monitor performance against our established brand standards.
As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below.

As an F&B Supervisor you have the following attributes:

• Previous F&B experience at Team Leader or Supervisory level
• Ability to lead and supervise the team
• Flexible to business needs
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
• Cover Duty Management Shifts

The main duties will include:

• Supervision of all Food & Beverage assistants
• Daily checks on all F&B areas ensuring standards
• Be an excellent team player
• Communicate and delegate tasks to the team
• Ensure compliance of standards
• Act as Duty Manager of the Hotel for most shifts
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Represent needs of the team
• Assist F&B Management with training and development of team members
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
• Ensure all F & B areas are on the best standards of cleaning and any maintenance issues are resolved
