PURPOSE OF JOB:
The main function for this role is to ensure that the highest standards of food and beverage service are consistently delivered through effective staff management. Maximize revenue through effective selling of all products whilst adhering to set cost and budget lines.
KEY TASKS
Customer Focus
· To ensure a 4* service is consistently delivered throughout the F&B department.
· To be proactive in the initiating of systems to ensure ever increasing levels of customer service are delivered.
· To deal with customer complaints in an efficient and effective manner and pass on to a senior member of staff if appropriate.
Operational Responsibilities & Support
· To ensure the correct opening and closing procedures are followed.
· To ensure all F&B areas are kept to a high degree of cleanliness.
· To direct and supervise F&B staff on duty.
· To support, coach and develop F&B Staff in particular new team members.
· To be aware of competitor analysis and act upon any potential improvements
· To actively seek to consistently improve department performance
· To consistently deliver a courteous and helpful attitude to all customers (internal and external)
Team Support
· To attend departmental meetings and use these as a forum to put forward opinions and new ideas.
· To work with all departments to ensure that operational excellence is achieved.
· To serve internal customers to a 4 star standard.
· To be aware of training requirements for the team and self
· Assist in arranging training sessions and contribute towards departmental specific sessions
· To supervise shifts in the absence of the F&B Manager/Restaurant & Bars Manager
Sales & Revenue
· To be responsible for monies taken on shift when in charge
· To be aware of budgeted sales and departmental performance.
· To ensure the up-selling of products as per instruction from senior staff
· To be pro-active with departmental promotions to maximize revenue capture
· To drive YES! Within the department
Health & Safety
· Participate in emergency situations, including fire and bomb incidents
· To take reasonable care for health safety of yourself, colleagues and guests who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
· Ensure that the Company complies fully and at all times with its legal duties regarding health, safety and welfare matters.
· Familiarise yourself with and comply with the Company’s ‘Health and Safety’
· Report immediately all accidents involving injury or illness to your Line Manager or Control
· Highlight Health and Safety or maintenance issues and follow them up.
