JOB TITLE: Food Service Supervisor  REPORTS TO:  Area Supervisor  DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage  PAY RATE: $19.75/hour  * JOB SUMMARY: The Unit Supervisor position reports to the Food and Beverage Manager, Assistant Manager and area supervisor.  It is the duty of the Unit Supervisor to ensure that all aspects of a range of concessions stands meet the standards of the Elitch Gardens food and beverage program.  SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  * Ensuring that guest satisfaction is at all times the focus of each stand.  * Regulating the storage and production of food so that it adheres to Food Safety practices.  * Assist Area Supervisor with ordering of all products from warehouse with careful consideration of keeping the balance between out of stocks and excessive inventory.  * Developing team members and leads so that they are efficient and guest friendly.  * Training team members and leads on food safety protocol.  * Maintaining a guest-ready environment which includes having sufficient product and a clean environment.  * Resolve guest concerns that may arise.  * Maintain proper attendance and promptness.  * Maintain proper grooming guidelines as well as ensure that all Team Members adhere to grooming guidelines.  * Properly operate point of sale system and aprons in accordance with point of sale policy.  * May be required to perform Stand Lead and Team Member duties as staffing and park attendance dictates.  * Ensuring that all food equipment is properly used and cared for.  * Assist Area Supervisor with recording month-end inventory.  * Keeping food preparation areas clean and organized.  * Ensuring that cooking projections are adhered to.  * Overseeing morning or night preparation for future business.  * Maintaining a sound environment in regard to operations keeping close attention to the elimination of theft.  * Makes sure that all employees adhere to labor laws that apply to them including taking breaks and working controlled hours.  * Assist area supervisor with ensuring that area schedules are completed and given to all employees.  * Accountable for maintaining cost of sales for each stand.  * Closely monitoring team member attendance.  * Disciplining employees for not adhering to company policies.  * Coaching and developing leads and team members to become efficient, empathetic, and energetic employees.  * Other duties as assigned  QUALIFICATIONS:  * Candidate must be at least 16 years of age.   * Food Safety certification preferred.      * Effective communication skills as well as oral and written English skills.  * Available to work overtime  * Available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, mornings, and evenings.  * Experience in food service  * All job offers contingent on passing a criminal, drug, alcohol, and social security background check.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
