FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

Location - Moor Hall Hotel and Spa, Sutton Coldfield
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Department: Food & Beverage
Hours: 37.5 hours over 5 days (Including evenings, weekends and key bank holidays)

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full time Food & Beverage Supervisor to support with the day-to-day running of our restaurants, bar, and afternoon tea service. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
You will supervise the F&B team, ensure service standards are consistently high, and support the Food & Beverage Manager in driving sales, training staff, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere across all food and beverage outlets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily operations across the restaurant, bar, and afternoon tea service, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times.
  • Lead and motivate the team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Oversee table management, reservations, and guest flow to maximise efficiency and service quality.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and service, ensuring all brand and hotel standards are consistently achieved.
  • Support with stock control, ordering, and cellar/bar management to minimise waste and maximise profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and development of the F&B team to encourage progression and high performance.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any service issues in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to deliver promotions, seasonal menus, and special events.
  • Contribute to achieving financial targets by driving sales and controlling costs.
